			Shortly after Calgari's arrival at [[Duran'Gal]], he began establishing a network of tunnels, hideouts and shelters around the lower locations of the kingdom. It would take him months but he would eventually gain some access to the upper levels as well. This resourcefulness gained the attention of [[Peridot]] and [[Opal]]. Although Calgari would not meet them in person, he received orders through cryptic letters. With no allies or options, he followed.

			During this time, Calgari struggled. He toiled in the mud with those from the lower levels of [[Duran'Gal]] and saw little of the outside world. The only sounds that filled his ears were that of the propaganda machines. The only light that touches his eyes was that of the advertisements of each Core. Nothing about this place was natural or conducive of living a life worthy of living. Calgari allowed that to fuel him.

			Eventually he got word of a higher-up engineer by name of [[Gobannus Steelgrave]] who was quick to cover his tracks, attracting suspicions from those looking in the right places.
