The Leyaran Hexarchy
The Leyaran Hexarchy is the epicenter of the Aetheric in the Veilands, with much of the Lowlands being taken up by the Aetheric Sea. Leyara Myr, the "Tyrian Jewel of the South", rises above the waters of the Aetheric Sea, a massive inland lake where the barrier to the Othersea thins. The culture of the arcane runs deep in Leyara, with a stratified social order that sorts the populace. Universities, libraries, and theatres abound on the main island with performers in the streets performing cantrips for the masses. Leyara is ruled over by the Hexarchy, a council of powerful mages that rule over Leyara with differing levels of presented influence. The Hexarchy and Leyara is considered a magical paradise, a tolerable protectorate, and an oppressive regime depending on what class you ask.
