The Apotheon Creed is the dominant organized religion in the Veilands. Having been active since the dawn of recorded history, it is the second oldest religion beside the Elden Path. While it is officially a singular theological entity, the Cults within the church act essentially independently of one another. Cults only officially interact for major Creed-wide holidays, ecumenical councils, or crises requiring the decisions of faith leaders. However, it is not uncommon for inter-cult interaction in day-to-day proceedings of churches, as typically sites of worship for specific cults were built in proximity to one another.

Deities

The deities of the Apotheon Creed are broken up into three classes. The Apotheons are those gods who were once mortals, and ascended to divinity through Apotheosis. The Begotten are the children of Apotheons, beings who have only ever known divinity, though often take on aspects of their Apotheon progenitors. Finally, the Exalted are lesser or demigods, chosen by an Apotheon or Begotten for their devotion to an ideal or great deeds and imbued with a fraction of their patron's power. All three classes receive reverence, though are often prioritized by a specific Cult.
